Sometimes getting your boss or senior management team to buy into an employee survey can be tough. We hear from HR Managers all the time that that is often their biggest obstacle in getting approval to conduct an employee survey.
They cost money and not everyone sees the value in asking employees what they think.
Having a sense of what is happening might only be the tip of the iceberg. You might not realize that the 'sense' you have is being created by your squeaky wheels because they are the ones that make the noise and complain the loudest.You are in denial if they are the only people you listen to though.
