Insightlink does not create its comparative database by simply amalgamating scores from its clients' surveys, as is sometimes done by other employee survey companies. Instead, Insightlink norms are developed via a representative annual survey of employees in North America. The sample for this survey is balanced against Bureau of Labor Statistics and Statistics Canada figures in terms of such key factors as company size, range of industry types, geography and employee demographics. The result of this balanced sampling is a rigorously scientific, fully accurate view that provides real benchmarks against which to judge your organization's scores.

What Makes Insightlink's Employee Survey Norms Different?

Unlike many other employee survey companies, we maintain data validity by deliberately not including our clients' data in our norms. While some companies use your survey data to augment their norms, Insightlink maintains stringent research standards and believes strongly that addition of any self-selected sample (like that of our clients) dilutes the credibility of our normative data.

We've been in the research business for more than 30 years, and research principles dictate that normative data be truly representative. A vendor who "boosts" their norms with client data is not using a truly representative sample. When you invest in a survey, make sure that you are choosing wisely.
