Offer Surveys after the Holidays

If you are looking for a good time to offer employee surveys to your employees, consider doing it after the start of the New Year. The holiday season is a stressful time for people. It is not the best time to offer a survey because some of the answers could be the result of stress.

For instance, an employee that is normally happy with their rate of pay may be feeling extra stress during the holidays. He may express dissatisfaction with his pay rate because he has extra people to shop for – not because he is truly unhappy with it. Once the holidays are gone, your employees will be feeling relieved and relaxed. They will be much more likely to offer honest, open answers.
