Employee Survey Normative Data
Insightlink's Employee Satisfation Benchmark Norms
An important element of Insightlink's service is our proprietary database of benchmark norms for every question in our 4Cs Employee Opinion Survey. These norms allow you to compare the survey scores for your organization against those of a representative sample of both U.S. and Canadian employees.
Insightlink Norms Provide an Important Analytical Perspective
Normative results are critical to interpreting your survey results and helping define which areas you may need to target for remedial action. For example, if your survey results indicate that 45% of your employees are satisfied with the amount they are paid, you need to know if this result is on a par with other employers or if it represents a weakness that could trigger turnover. Comparison with the Insightlink normative database offers this needed perspective.
Insightlink Ensures a Database of Accurate, Representative Norms
To be useful, norms must provide a true picture of employee opinions. Insightlink does not create its comparative database by simply amalgamating scores from its clients' surveys, as is sometimes done by other employee survey companies. Instead, Insightlink norms are developed via a representative annual survey of employees in North America. The sample for this survey is balanced against Bureau of Labor Statistics and Statistics Canada figures in terms of such key factors as company size, range of industry types, geography and employee demographics. The result of this balanced sampling is a rigorously scientific, fully accurate view that provides real benchmarks against which to judge your organization's scores.
Why Clients Choose Insightlink for Employee Opinion Survey Benchmark Norms
Insightlink offers normative data for 270 distinct employee survey question statements . Normatave data is included on all 4Cs Survey comprehensive reports. Norms are based on its highly respected 4Cs framework (Commitment, Culture, Communications and Compensation). If you would like to purchase norms for use in your own organization with your own survey, please
What Makes Insightlink's Employee Survey Norms Different?
Unlike many other employee survey companies, we maintain data validity by deliberately not including our clients' data in our norms. While some companies use your survey data to augment their norms, Insightlink maintains stringent research standards and believes strongly that addition of any self-selected sample (like that of our clients) dilutes the credibility of our normative data.
We've been in the research business for more than 30 years, and research principals dictate that normative data be truly representative. A vendor who "boosts" their norms with client data is not using a truly representative sample. When you invest in a survey, make sure that you are choosing wisely.
