Employee Focus Groups The purpose of an employee focus group is to identify in greater detail the needs and concerns of your employees. They are often done in conjuction with a complete company-wide employee survey.
Typically, you would hold employee focus groups with a small representative group of employees. This not only helps you maintain an interactive relationship with them but also lets your employees raise concerns and issues in a comfortable environment. The most valuable eomplyee focus groups often concentrate on just a few topics so that each topic can be fully explored.
Focus groups can be done as part of the design phase for the employee survey, or as a follow-up project to delve into topics raised by the employee survey in much greater depth.
